A very old one…

As I remember, Harleigh liked this one – so I didn’t burn it. Was it written after leaving the dark waves of Itamambuca? Maybe.

I walked the moon path
To touch the talcum disc
When I ran from its blue light
My body gathered in thin arms

As crests flitted in the night
Along the twelve mile beach
The sea bound a concrete cord to my ankles
Trying to pull me under

But a hero saved me
