Estranged

Years melt away, while memories gather under the sea
The hidden body of a bleak continent, between two isles
Pick an age, though the years come in twos
It’s too late to miss the elder’s progression, there like lichen on bark
But where is the missing minutiae of a baby sister?
How my own voice must waver in the warp of distance
A ghost without a subscription
